The history of our building runs centuries. Built in the 1820s by John Coe, it has served as an underground railroad location during the slavery era, dorms for the Belknap College, and much more in its illustrious history.

It now serves as home to Lavinia’s, a restaurant focusing on fresh and local ingredients, and taking a modern twist on New England classics.

Join us in one of our dining rooms for dinner Tuesday through Sunday. We also offer full dinner service in our tavern and the upstairs Belknap Club.
